Just finished putting in a ssd in my 780r and reinstalled a fresh copy of windows. However I cannot access my second drive to initialize it. It shows up with correct information in bios and will even show the correct information using the windows cd. However when I use disk management and hit initialize I get I/O error. I have the bios set to ahci and have tryed swapping the drive for the one I remove. It also shows up in disk management that it is 936 gigs large, which is untrue.

The drive is still setup as a member disk from the raid array. You should have entered the raid utility first and deleted the raid array. Both OEM drives would have changed to non-member disks. The quickest way to fix it is put the 2 drives back in go to the raid utility and delete the array.
