I just installed overwatch and my computer acts all crazy! Some times i get great 70fps constant for a full game and some times i get 30fps for a full game. Also my temps are right around 83-84 celsius is that normal for what you guys are getting on the highest setting?

Are both fps ratings from the same game, or different games? Try reducing quality setting to have a more consistent fps rating if it's the same game. Finally, 83 C is normal since it can go up more under full load.

a 980m should never dip to 30fps in this game. You should be able to max this out and not see any dips. Sounds like your gpu may be throttling like hell. Monitor gpu/cpu clocks during gaming, and make sure you don't hit the throttle temp.

How would I get them cooler if it is temp issue? I have the fan button pressed. I was feeling the back vents and the cpu fan was pushing more air out then the gpuboss.com fan. I would think they should be the same?

When was the last time you cleaned your computer? Also, what are your CPU temps? Overwatch can be slightly heavy on the CPU (though 70fps does not seem very taxing). 85 degrees celsius I believe its the point when the GPU starts to throttle.

In my case I use display based frame limit so I run the game at 110fps, which taxes my CPU to near 100%, and my GPUs a bit, but I never drop betlow 100fps as far as I can tell, even after hours of gaming.

Ive never cleaned it except for using a vacuum to suck in the vents. Well something is seriously screwy with mine then. I put it on lowest graphics setting and still had crazy frame drops with Temps only in the 60s. I'm doing a full system wipe/format/install see if that fixes anything.
