Anyone care to chime in on the screen quality and viewing angles of the 15.6" 1080p screen in the 5870 models of this notebook with the 16.0" 1080p screen in the earlier 285m models of this notebook?

Ive read a few negative remarks about the 5870 screens viewing angles and wonder if the 16" screen in the older model was better, worse or the same?

    Thanks,

Erm...I gues those screens are identical, both 15.6", just marketed somehow differently.

I think Rob from RK confirmed that 15.6 inch and 16.0 inch notebooks are using same 15.6 screen and it is possible to swat them. I don't know, though are these models are using same type of screen, but as I know MSI, most probably they do.

I actually figured it out and I was mistaken... On the GT660 and GX660 there are models with 16" screens and models with 15.6" it turns out all the 16" screens are the 720p screens while the 1080p are 15.6". Smaller screen and much higher pixel density.

I've just read bad things about the viewing angles on the 1080p screen and was looking for options. I wonder if the new 680 series uses the same screen... Im betting it does.
