Yes, it's very bad and this can overheat your laptop.

Put it on a tray or buy a cheap laptop cooler to sit it on - anything to ensure that there's a gap underneath to allow outside air to the fan. See those little slits or holes underneath your system? Just make sure those aren't covered.

Unless you monitor your own Temps live, bad idea. Although I'm not sure if the 70 is the same design as the 60. The gs60 had top vents to pull air and exhaust through the sides.

This idea will fly but with the following issues.
    1. Need a desk to place on bed, I've seen those plastic-made desk available for purchase.
    2. Need AC adapter, creates wiring/tangling issues.
    3. Need to sit up to play, can't really feel lazy enough.

If you have a good wireless network, a recent android phone and a controller you can hook to your phone, maybe try gamestream+limelight? Never tried it with a phone, but I use my Shield Portable from time to time to stream stuff from my PC and it works amazingly well.

Yup, Nvidia Shield, or a smart phone/tablet will do.

I picked up a $10 padded laptop board that sits on your lap or legs, works great. Cushion on the bottom side so nothing slides and is comfortable, and is flat on the top. Works great and keeps everything cool and stable.
