Looking sweet....still wondering about how much it'll be though. And whether the screen will be WXGA+, WSXGA, or a choice between the two.

Well, their review unit had a WXGA+ screen, but I think it will be available with both.

If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the LAN and several other common ports and even a drive are located on the right side of the unit, not good for the right handed among us. :(

Yeah, that's a pet peeve of mine, having the optical drive on the left. But given all the other advantages of the system, I think I could learn to live with it. ;)

I'm assuming you meant left, right? :D

I was thinning the same thing. I've read reviews and comments about other MSI lappies with the same gloss treatment, and they say it does need regular wipping to stay clear.

I wonder if this glossy treatment will help repeal damage from sweat though.

im more worried about them getting scratched when they get wiped off. im almost ocd with my systems and ive seen others like toshibas abd hp's with the glossy plastics and even wiping or touching them with your finger leaves fine scratches in the finish on them, i dont mind always wiping it off im worried it will end up like black paint on a car thats been over buffed.. like the fine swirls etc...or on appliances we have a kitchen aid black gloss microwave and anytime it gets touched it leaves fine scratches

They have those Windex wipes at some auto places...I've found they work pretty well. About as well as Swiffer cloths on a dashboard; they make great dusters. :D

Yes, I think its like the HP in terms of finish. They were talking about the finish being burned into the materials, kinda like how the HP Imprint finish works.

Hmm, yea, maybe it was just the flames then, I guess. But scratching shouldn't be too much of a problem, more than it is on most other notebooks anyways.

    Okay it must be gddr3! Because asus G1s got 3800 in 3dmark06(better processor)and gx600 got 3600.
And btw acer aspire 5920g got only 3100 in 3dmark06 and it has gddr2.So It must be gddr3!!!

Not necessarily. Its likely that they ran 3DMark06 at a lower resolution. Besides, the 5920 has a 256MB card whereas the GX600 (like the IFL90) has a 512MB version. That would have added a couple of hundred points.

Maybe the European model has GDDR3, but the NA model is going to be DDR2. It even said that in the MSI advert in the latest Laptop magazine.

Actually MSI changed the configuration. So instead of a T7300 (4 mb cache) a T7250 (2 mb cache) will be used and the graphics adapter will have GDDR2 instead of GDDR3. So, no, we europeans don't get a better version ;)

For those who speak german, there is an awful long thread about the GX600 (including the configuration issue) here: http://www.forumdeluxx.de/forum/showthread.php?t=365852&page=35 :D

VR-Zone appears to have the only gx600 equipped with an HD-DVD drive. I've yet to see that config anywhere else including MSI's Global web site.

I wouldn't call that a full review. In fact I've yet to see a full review of the GX600. What's the deal?

The current USA version of the GX600 has a T7300 4MB installed and the VGA is DDR2. Was never DDR3. Different regions may have different configurations/specs.

The GX610 is the one with the Turion X2 and an HD2600, right? I'd actually bet on it not being GDDR3.

And evidently I was wrong.....see below.

I can hardly believe in that! So, they put better (by far) graphic card in a much worse configuration, and now i cannot decide which to buy!
