hi,
i checked the msi website and others and can find no mention of higher capacity batterys for the x slim series.
i have a x410 and the weedy battery only lasts 1.5 hours on min brightness on idle, its only 2150mah for struths sake !!, thats really low, i mean utterly pathetic and tight fisted cost cutting.
im sure that measly 2150mah could have at least been doubled and still keep the same physical size.
most bog standard netbooks have triple the 2150mah of the x410, and nearly all have at least double.
anyone know where to get a higher capacity battery ? do they exist ?
cheers

I'm looking on eBay. There seem to be a large amount of generic manufacturers. I think because of the genericness of MSI laptops, they don't do "genuine batteries" and all supplies that use MSi bodies, source batteries from their "own generic suppliers".
Good luck in your search. -
I ordered a generic X400 extended battery (same as X410, I think) from a China eBay seller today ($66 US with free shipping--they ship worldwide). I have had mixed results using these generics; I got one for my Tecra M7 that is as good as a genuine one, but another one I got for a Thinkpad was pretty much a waste of money.
I will post again when I receive it to tell y'all if the battery is any good. -
Let us know about you new battery... i´m looking for a 8-cell battery for X340; at eBay there are dozens of chinese ebayers selling these ones.

i decided to take my x410 back but a refund was not forthcoming, so im stuck with it, and its short battery life.
would be gratefull if you could post your results on the extended battery.
cheers
