    eSATA doesn't work

    Hi
    I try to connect an eSATA hard drive on my MSI GT735 and it doesn't work... the enclosure (NexStar CX) work beceause if I connect it with the USB cable everything works fine

    so what should I do to enable the eSATA port

    The eSATA port does not provide power to the hard drive, so the external hard drive still needs a USB cable connection for power or an AC adapter.

    Plug in the eSATA cable, and then the USB cable. The chipset in the controller will choose to run data over eSATA rather than USB so long as the drive boots with the eSATA already connected.

    the enclosure have it's own AC adapter.... but I'll still try your sugestion but it'll be better if I can only use the eSATA cable ...

    and the AC adaptor work because I can turn on the HD even if the USB cable is not plug

    inside the enclosure there's a 320 WD sata II hard drive

    no nothing append when I connected the USB and the eSATAit doesn't detect it as an USB device

    I solve the problem ... I just had to upgrade the BIOS!!!

    the upgrade fix two things:

    1. Speed up the flash time
    2. Fixed can't show HDD information in setup menu problem
