Hello all, I am seriously thinking about getting an MSI Wind *after* I have a
chance to see one in person, but looking at zipzoomfly's offerings I'm confused
between these two models. They seem identical to me, but there is
    price difference. Anyone know why?

    Thanks,

ps: As a big fan of Thinkpads, I may check out the S10 too .. in case anyone has opinions on that system.

Haven't been able to find a model locally to check it out, the Best Buy doesn't
have it in stock. I've seen the Aspire and it looks a tiny bit too small for me.

Is there a good reference for the various model numbers of the MIS Wind?

The main difference are 6 Cell and 120GB HD, 6 Cell and 160GB HD, 3 Cell and 120GB HD, 3 Cell and the 160GB hard drive. All come with 1 GB of ram. BestBuy and Newegg are now selling the wind for $349. I think I will pick one up this weekend.

    Ah .. got it. I actually ordered a -432 i.e., 160 GB, 6 cell B/G/N + BT for $479
from amazon earlier today. I also have an additional GB of RAM coming.

The Best Buy version comes with a 3 cell and 120 GB drive (and maybe no BT?)

Excited to get my hands on this machine. Wasn't able to see it before I ordered
it but amazon told me I would be able to return it for a full refund for 30 days
    if I didn't like it. I hope I do :)

I wish the Wind would use a trackpoint (like the Thinkpads have) instead of
the trackpad (which seems to have gotten many so-so reviews) Takes up
    less space and works great.

Awesome you will love the laptop. As for the track point, I have used them on my older IBMs and never liked them but everyone has there own opinion. Make sure you update to the 1.09 bios so you can run your processor at 2GHz.

Good choice on the Wind. I'm thinking of one as well. What killed the S10 for me is the 3-cell battery.
