Artifacts are normally from the GPU clocks being pushed too high, or there is a problem with your GPU

Is it just when booting up or is it there all the time?

If it is only while boot up, you might have my problem. I'm using Vista x64 and 179.65 BETA driver. I also see this artidacts, but after it boots up everything is OK after. When I go home I'll put the new Vista WHQL driver that nVidia posted yesterday. If you see this artifacts all the time, there might be a problem with your video card. But don't worry yet, try the new drivers first. Good luck.
