    hello,

when i load up wow. and the cinematic comes up, there are a bunch of colored specs left behind and very much visible whenever the screen turns black.

is there a fix for this or is it just something i'll have to tolerate?

    that would be 9.4 right?
and wouldnt i need to modify the inf file since the drivers are meant for desktops?
i'm rather illiterate when it comes to this stuff.
    links/instructions would really help.

What Tinder meant was upgrade to the latest Video Drivers for YOUR SYSTEM, not just the latest driver. Use your brain son.

If you've got a link to your system support page, that's the best place to start as those drivers are certified for your system. Using generic drivers from the ATI /Radeon site might be different and cause problems, and if you're not that familiar with what to do or how to notice it, then stick with downloads from MSI until you learn how.

Go here to the MSI Service / Downloads page and follow the instructions to get your drivers.

You should also check the MSI forums and see if there's any specific info for your system posted there concerning the issue.

simple the drivers at ATI website are for desktop cards while drivers at MSI website are drivers for laptop cards.

Since the desktop and laptop HD 4870 is not the same so neither are the drivers.

your problem could also be due to very high FPS or this could be ghosting?

ah.. so unless someone has figured out modded infs, (which someone did for 9.3 i think) its useless for me to grab catalyst?
