    Hey guys, I am planning to buy GT80 but I found out on internet that GT80 has two different version, which are GT80 001 and GT80 002. They are two different versions of GT80. However, they have the same configuration. Not only that, their price are totally different. Therefore, I want to know what difference is between these two version. Why does the same configuration have totally different price.

    Just a suggestion that the GT80 002 is an outside the U.S. type of model. When I did a search, using a search engine,it mainly returned with a foreign shops, like Canada. Seems like the U.S. shops are selling the GT80 001, 009 and other models. Maybe send MSi a message asking. Hope this helps.

    You will find the region code in the model, eg US or UK and the numbers between regions are not comparible.

    There are actually 5 different versions just for the US itself. They all are GT80 models but have different standard hardware configurations. The 009 version has the i7-4980HQ while all others have the i7-4720HQ. If you configure any that have the i7-4720HQ to have the same specs, you would essentially the exact same computer.
