On my MSI MS-1651 I see an access panel in the front of the chassis, what is it for? if I open it up it leads to the rear of the second mini pci-e slot from the left most side. I don't see any mounting screw holes to put any modules that might be connected to a mini pci-e card, any idea's what this is actually meant for? (besides an extra air hole)..lol

Are you talking about the one in front about the size of a 9volt battery? if so I have this same access door and theres nothing in there, just some solder points as if something was made to go there but wasn't included with our models.

I don't think so, its too far underneath the front to be useful, unless it was ment for some sorta IR module, other then that I am clueless to what this actually could be used for, but now that I look at it, it gives me a few modding idea/ ways to stick more hardware in this notebook.

Yes thats the access door I was talking about.

if you flip yours over vince its a small little plastic cover towards the front on the left hand side right in front of the large access door for all the components.

According to MSI's disassembly manual it's a sim card door. There's no place to put a sim card but that's what it's called.

As soon as I get a CPU to flash my BIOS so i can use the real CPU I wanted to use, I will look into seeing if its possible to "borrow" a SIM card slot from some hardware I have that won't miss it..lol

I can see the solder points, but I am not sure if they can be used or not, I need to run some tests to see if its possible, who knows what else is missing.

There is also room for an extra PCI-E Mini expansion slot, I can see the solder points so I might even try to add another expansion slot.
