This is a longshot, but is there a way to rig the Xbox 360 gaming receiver inside an MS-1651?
Better yet, how to make the cable of the gaming receiver short since its awfully long to be called "wireless," hehe.
-
Lol, your mad but i like your thinking, are we talking the crossfire reciever here?
If it fits, you could try and hide it in the dummy PCMCIA card slot (the pcb for the reciever this is) and then have the usb cable shortened so that it slots into the USB easily with no cable flopping around. -
Yea, that is what I'm talking about.
It's a miracle for MS to create an ExpressCard version of its gaming receiver. Moreover, to hatch this idea.
Any other takes? -
Yeah true that, another idea would be to try and set wifi into an adhoc broadcast mode or something and try get software to verify the searching xbox controller.

A radio receiver include as it was for Bluetooth doesn't exist yet! isn't it?
It will be great (like the receiver for the mouse Logitech Nano VX) but for the 360pad (i have it, wireless for windows, exceptionnal quality), how about the synchronisation? You need the button to activate your pad... -
Well thats true, the synchronization would need setting right, and the button to activate the pad we would activate the connection for crossfire via the pc, or rig up a little switch, its quite easy i suppose its just hiding it well, or figuring out if we can use wifi in a broadcasting mode to connect to the reciever, but i dont think anything can do that, what are the xbox controllers using to connect, its not bluetooth it is?
-
It's a 2.4 Ghz receiver (5 Ghz for the Wifi if i'm right)
-
Hmm, i suppose it could be do-able to a degree, wifi tends to have 5 and 2.4 ghz support, Im still trying to get hold of the crossfire one from game i think. NEVER IN STOCK!
-
You could try cutting the usb cable and soldering the wires to the usb headers for the port next to the esata part and hiding the receiver in the expresscard slot. Problem is I don't now if the port will be usable afterward.

Thats really what i think we should focus on figuring out, i'd assume it is.
