Hi i have a MSI GX630 and the RT2860 drivers installed for the RaLink wireless card. I even have the RaLink utility that comes with it. I've read that other persons have good WiFi quality with their GX630 yet mine is constantly dropping even as i type this. I have a D-Link N-router and all my family members get a nice wifi signal on their machines where ever they are in the house. could some1 please explain to me why this ralink wireless card is acting so poorly? is there something i haven't done?

Did you check for new drivers for the ralink, maybe at their own site rather than using MSI's? Konstantin in the 627 thread mentioned that for the 5100 in those the Intel latest driver fixed his problems, different chipset I know, but...

I have a D-Link 615 B/G/N router myself, but I only run B/G with WEP as I have several legacy devices B/WEP only plus a Nintendo DS lite in the same boat, and I get no dropouts. That's with 5 or 6 other wireless routers in the neighborhood showing up as well, couple Linksys and the others are unknown.
