I read somewhere that this laptop doesn´t qualify for windows XP license , that´s why it comes with Vista.

Does this mean I cannot even install windows XP myself ?

No, you can install Windows XP yourself with your own license, but your laptop doesn't come with the Windows XP downgrade option. Those are only in Windows Vista Business and Ultimate editions that those users can downgrade for free or for a nominal fee. You can, however, install Windows XP on that machine, but remember that MSI is not responsible for helping you find your drivers; on that end, you are on your own.

Where I have to look for those drivers ?

It should be no problem to find them ?

The manufacturer provides the drivers needed to have XP on X340.
It's only you need to have XP installer CD with SATA driver included, and before installing, disable the AHCI option in the BIOS.
