GS60 has individual cooling system: http://cdn.eteknix.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/MSIGS60_GhostPro_Mobo.jpg
WS60 has a dual cooling system: http://usgaming.msi.com/images/img-overview/WS60Workstation/WS60_COOLING.jpg
In the WS60 the heatpipe spreads over both CPU and GPU. It can be assumed, that by that heat is dissipated and both fans need to rotate slower. In comparison to that the GS60 has separated heatpipes in which each fan must rotate faster to cool the components, therefore also produce louder fan noise. Result from Notebookcheck is, that the loudness of the GS60 is around 50+ dB, while on the WS60 it has 42dB. The GPU on the WS60 is a little beat weaker though, but I still think the cooling is much better than on the GS60.
So I wonder why this wasn't made in the first place. Maybe the WS60 was a later production. But I wonder if the future MSI GS will get the same cooling?

I believe they do already have identical cooling. The graphic on the WS link may just make it look slightly different compared to the GS where you actually see the hardware.
The chassis and internals should be the same. The difference is WS are Workstation computers which come with Nvidia Quadro GPU's and the GS are Gaming which come with Nvidia GeForce GPU's. Besides the GPU they're the same.
I could be wrong about this though as we do not have a WS on hand to pop open and check. But I do think they are the same inside. -
I agree it's difficult to say for sure. At least they say "Exclusive dual fan technology improves 15% cooling performance with lower fan noise", so it seems they have done something in comparison to the GS60. We don't know what however.

It's identical in cooling.
Will the GS60 get the same cooling as the awesome WS60 ?
