My notebook came with a 128GB Toshiba 1.8" MSATA and I'd like to upgrade to a 500Gb 2.5" Samsung MSATA. Will I have a problem getting it to fit?

What is the exact model number of your 128GB Toshiba drive? Also the 500GB Samsung 2.5" is not a mSATA the 2.5" drives are SATA drives. So you are trying to get a Samsung 500GB mSATA drive in the place of the Toshiba?

    Thanks for the reply.
My current model is Toshiba THNSNF128GMCS 128Gb PCI-Express mini-SATA 1.8-Inch Internal SSD and I'm looking to replace it with Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB mSATA 2-Inch SSD (MZ-M5E500BW)

Almost all Msata drives are the same. I had a 1TB Samsung EVO in different MSI system. It should be fine.

Just make sure you aren't looking at getting an m.2, as those aren't compatible. But an mSata Samsung should work.

I second Samsung Evo mSATA as this is only the best you can use on your system.
