    Will Upgrading Your MSI Laptop Void the Warranty?

    This Newegg video shows the MSI laptop I want to buy. AT 7:40 min count they open up the back and say you void the warranty by messing up the sticker and opening up your laptop. But you have to open up your laptop if you want to upgrade the memory, hd, or install an mSata SSD.

    I don't want to send my laptop to XoticPC everytime I need to upgrade it. So can I upgrade this laptop without voiding the warranty?

    Have you ever upgraded your laptop and they voided your warranty?

    This depends on where you live and where you bought it, in europe you are allowed to change hdd and RAM even if you have to break a warranty void sticker. With some exceptions like ultrabooks when you have to disassemble the hole laptop.
