Will an Asus GT70 run and display images without a video card? Can it use just the intel 4600 on the cpu?

    Thankyou for your input!
I appreciate it quite a bit.

    -Mike

I would just try it, but I don't have the system with me.

Depends on the GT70 (I assume you mean MSI?) The older generation ones with an unlocked bios can be made to behave normally with the dGPU removed, it has not been tested on the latest machines as far as I am aware.

Which GT70 do you have? 700 or 800m series one? Older 680m ones do work without the dGPU. I suspect it should work though... but as Meaker said, I doubt it has been tested.

Without a video card should work. I enjoyed GT60 month without discrete graphics, the laptop worked on integrated graphics HD 4000, only the fan constantly running at maximum speed. :D.

Me too, my previous GT70 had an early 680m death and while it was being replaced, I used it at 100% fan speed but no other issues haha.

Yes but the bios did change quite a bit after those models so it's not guaranteed.

In the end, it's the unlocked BIOS that will allow it to work without making the fan to do a full spin 100% of time.
