Your comparing a GT650M to a GTX580M, that's not going to go so well for the 650M (hint, the 580M was renamed to the 675M).

So the MSI is the better deal?

Well it's going to be a lot faster, has a higher res screen, has more HDD slots.
At the same time it's a tad bit heavier and its a larger machine. -
Dimensionally, yes, the MSI is bigger. -
Will the new MSI GE60 be good for D3? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on it, it seems like such a good deal but I don't seem to see everyone all over it so I'm skeptical.

Alienware is generally over priced for what's it's worth. I actually never believed people back then when they told me that, until now when I start exploring other options, such as Asus, MSI, etc. For example, those two comparison there you got, the MSI will have at least 15% - 20% better performance than the alienware for ALOT cheaper.....you do the math.

I don't like alienwares but M14x is a sweet option! no other laptop at the same size offer a good GT650M performance and 5+ hours of battery and easily hits the 7 hours with SSD's! I would go for 16F2 over the M14x though..

Check out Clevo's 11.6" machine with GT650M in it. Killer gaming light laptop thats cheap and has equal power to the alienware 14x

The GT650 is hamstrung by DDR3 in the clevo where the m14x uses GDDR5.

Something to mention if you are thinking of running the 650M with Diablo III(which would work well across the board regardless) and Star Wars as well, is you would be fine lower-to low medium settings with this video card.
However, the GTX570 would show far better results running games like Crysis (11) at:
high:
75.1 76.8 ~ 76 fps
ultra:
25.9 26.5 ~ 26 fps
Which is better for gaming
