Currently only MSI GS30 and GS32 but there will be upcoming models I think which can use the dock. There are 2 docks - large one and mini. The large one alone costs $500. idk about the mini

In terms of best cost and performance, you can get the GS30 which has a Haswell Iris Pro i7 Quad core (without dGPU) and the large dock. The only issue with it is that it only has 2 USB3 ports for expansionon the laptop itself.

In terms of a simpler solution, the GS32 is available but I would NOT recommend it as it only has a dual core i7 which might become a problem with newer games (esp DX12 games).

Ideally, you would want to get the new MSI GS40 6QD (the 6QD is the ONLY version with the proprietary PCI slot that allows connectivity to the dock). It has a GTX 960m instead of the 970m in the GS40 6QE version. It has full i7 skylake quad, tb3 port for maximum future proof connectivity and the proprietary slot for the mini dock attachment.

We are all waiting for availability outside of AUS and New Zealand at this point.

    Great! Thanks for the link.

I was hoping I'd see a 970M or 980M laptop with a mini docking station. I'd just wait an extra month and see what I can find

That won't be released this Intel proccy refresh I predict. You'd have to wait for Kaby lake for a GTX 1070/1080 laptop with quad core i7 and docking capabilities.

The only choice is Alienware 15 and 17. They have quad core i7's with 970m and 980M's. performance is actually slightly better than TB3 solutions and very close to the MSI ones.

Here is a comparison between link speeds of TB3 and Alienwares custom solution.

The reason the GS32 does not offer anything more than the GTX 950M is because the idea is to keep the weight down (2.86 lbs - 1.3kg) for travel...and then be a monster gamer when at home.
