I am ready to buy now and I have found that you can buy the MSI GX640 (when in stock) from the following companies:

    Xoticpc
    JR.com
    Btotech.com
    Rk Computers

All of them are pretty close to the same pricing. Btotech seems to be just a bit lower and at JR I don't see that one has the ability to add any upgrades (I would like to add the Blue Ray and some cooling compound and I know nothing about computers so I feel safer having them do it.)

My question is that I have never dealt with, or really heard of, good or bad experiences with these companies.

Does anyone have any knowledge and/or experience with them to be able to give me some advice, such as whether one is by far better or, alternatively, whether there is one place I should avoid? (or maybe they are all great!)

    Thanks for the help!

I bought my current laptop (Asus A8js) from Btotech.com . . . and just placed an order for a GX640 through them. They've been helpful and very responsive with e-mails and other questions. Their forum is reasonably activie which is a good sign as well.

I've also talked with the lads at GenTech and had good interactions, although I've never bought anything from them.

All in all, people on the forums tend to speak favorably of all the MSI resellers and generally report good experiences.

Truth be told, they all seem like pretty good guys as long as your idea of customer service isn't unreasonable.
