I recently ordered a WS63 7RK-290US from Xotic PC. I finally went with them after reading some reviews. Everyone was helpful...but after being told my computer was in stock and it would be here before Christmas, it’s backordered. Not happy about getting the run around, but I’m not saying it isn’t a good company; I get things happen, I just want my laptop and don’t want to wait an indefinite amount of time.

I had read reviews of different companies, and all seemed to either not be BBB accredited or had bad reviews. Most places do not customize with what I want.

    Specifically two :

    1TB Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (Read 3200MB/s - Write 1900MB/s)
    1TB Samsung 850 Evo SSD (Read 540MB/s - Write 520MB/s (SSD2 - SATA III))

And it has to have at least a P3000 Quadro with 6GB dedicated, and at least 32gb ram.

Most places I’ve heard of don’t customize fast harddrives, they have that 5400 rpm drive which is not acceptable.

If anyone can tell me what might be a better company to order from that would have them in stock, I would appreciate the help. I would consider an upgrade/model above this depending on the price difference, and it has to be 14-15”.

Avoid the WS series - they're just rebranded GS series but cost more for no real benefit. A GS63VR is better value in most cases.

That could be bad advice if @Scifivision needs the NVIDIA Quadro GPU, Windows 10 Pro and the 3 Year Warranty as standard features.

Unless he needs the Quadro drivers - I doubt it. In a lot of cases GeForce cards perform solidly in professional tasks while costing MUCH less. As for the OS - he can install whatever version he needs. I am personally running Windows 10 Enterprise.

Exactly, I need the quadro, because it’s for heavy 3D work.

First, so everyone knows, I’m a she :)

I’m concerned about this company though, they are not BBB accredited and have a B- do people not generally take that into account when buying custom laptops? A lot of the places I’ve seen suggested aren’t.

ohh sorry, sounds like a really tech savvy she  ;)

BBB is not what people look at. Check out the numerous posts on this forum from people who are totally satisfied with HIDevolution, and check them out at www.resellerratings.com/store/Hidevolution_com/

Every one on the forum knows about how great HIDevolution is, they have some of the best customer service if you read the links I gave you above and have very high quality control standards. They do the best thermal paste jobs, stress test the machine, ensure it's working 100% before they ship it to you so you know you will receive a laptop that works great out of the box.

Feel free to browse here: Reseller Feedback Forum

and here: MSI notebook order thread: post your orders here (go to the last pages and see the recent comments in that thread)

Then do your research obviously and buy from wherever you are comfortable with. I am just giving you my 2 cents worth.

    Good luck

I get that; that’s why I was starting to question if that mattered since most people on the forum seem to have gone with these various companies.

Will I get you automatically? I’m calling sales

Looks like Donald’s going to call me back. So fingers crossed that I don’t have trouble getting my money back from Xotic if all the parts are in stock at Hidevolution. They were nice so far.
