    can't read those topics,

    Im running on "medium" with 30-40 fps. This is a lot lower then I was expecting from this laptop.

    Have the edition with 8gb ram, i7 2630 and 570m card.

    Really? You should definitely be getting better than that. Are you using MSAA or HBAO? Because those cause massive performance hits.

    overclocked 460m here with 825 core clock.

    I am getting between 40 and 60 fps on 64 server with everything on medion expect textures on high and shadows on low, motion blur and all those gimmicks are off aswell as AA and HBSO/SSAO crap

    Search for Desktop GTX 460 768 results as qute frankly the 570m basically IS that card with twice the RAM. (at the clocks most people OC to)

    Most I saw reported 40-60fps depending on settings (most high with some hard hitting eye-candy off)

    Tom got over 40fps at 1080p with the 1GB 460 desktop card on HIGH presets.
    Benchmark Results: Nvidia Graphics Cards, High Quality : Battlefield 3 Performance: 30+ Graphics Cards, Benchmarked

    Granted, you don't have an OC'd desktop... but he also said that BF3 basically doesn't care. (a AMD PII 955 BE was plenty and a 2630m is no slouch)

    Given that that same test brought a desktop 560Ti down to 53fps and a Desktop 570 down to 62fps... 40fps in BF3 doesn't sound too bad really.

    GTX 460 (desktop) == GTX 570M (mobile)

    Both on stock speed. Is this correct?

    I get around 40fps at stock clocks with everything on ultra, AA and motion blur off and SSAO, at 1690x1050.

    If I OC to 700/1400/1700, I can play the same settings at 1920x1080.

    Not quite, the 570m has the same number of shaders
    but only 192-bit GDDR5 (as compared to 256-bit in the desktop 460 1GB, the 768MB desktop 460 is 192-bit)
    The lower memory interface isn't really too big of a deal at 1080p.

    In addition, the 570m is clocked lower at stock speeds.
    (but most people get the 570m up to desktop 460 768 speeds)

    Thus oveclocked 570m ~= stock Desktop 460 768MB.

    eveything on ULTRA, AAdeferred OFF, AApost at high, SSAO, 1080p, 720 core OC

    Frames: 40-60, could be more in some areas but i like to use v-sync. smooth as it gets!!!

    i concur this, without ic diamond and without a notebook cooler.

    heres a table:

    w/0 IC w/o cooler : 82-87
    w/o IC w cooler: 80 - 83
    w IC w/o cooler: 78 - 81
    w IC w cooler: 76 - 79

    Test done by me on gt683dxr before and after repaste. Tests performed with 720 core OC

    there is only a 3-5 fps drop between ultra and high. the fps droppers are hbao, i only use ssao, and AAdefered which is a killer.

    hmmm i play in a 40' lcd so over 35 for me is fine.

    temp in c

    Incorrect...

    460 Desktop 1GB = 336 shaders, 256-bit GDDR5

    580m = 384 shaders, 256-bit GDDR5

    The 580m is an underclocked 560Ti.

    GTX 460 desktop is a tad bit faster than GTX 570M, but a GTX 580M is quite a stretch.
