The reason I did not claim my problem as a "dead" or "stuck" pixel is because it is neither.
I have a pixel on my screen that doesn't display the color it is supposed to, for example it turns pink when my mouse cursor is under it, but it appears green when a black background it under it. Also it appears yellow when it is put against a red background.

What's wrong with this pixel, and how can I fix it?

    Thanks!

It's a form of a "stuck" pixel. Some people have had luck using a video which flashes different colors at a fast rate which "unsticks" the pixel.

google "stuck pixel video" and let that video replay for 20 min or so.... i believe directions are supplied with the video.

    good luck

Download pixel unsticker and run it all night, sometimes its been known to fix it out right :).

I have been using UDpixel for two hours now and its not helping, also I tried Jscreenfix before, and the pressure and tapping method.

What else should I try? (i.e. extending the time I run UDPixel?)

Unfortunately sometimes the pixel is just going to be like that. Had a $400 lcd monitor when they first came out with one right in the middle left that drove me insane and I did everything under the sun to unstick it but it just wouldn't budge.
