Anyone know any good webcam programs that records sounds from the mic as well? Also is it me or is the mic built in really weak at taking in sounds.

Did your comp come pre-installed with Crazytalk? I can find an installer on my MSI drivers disk if you don't have a copy.

Probably scout the drivers cd first. If it's not on there, its probably on the net somewhere for free. Crazytalk cam suite is its full name.

i read that the install file is in the recovery partition so is there a way to access the recovery partition without actually using it?

nope, they're just two .iso files on the C:\ drive, but when you re-formatted, you probably deleted it.
