    I am wavering between getting either a Ms-1651 Id2 or a Ms-1722 Id1.
Both are 1680x1050, however one is 15.4" and the other is 17".
I like the looks of the 1651 w/ the brushed aluminum, I don't like the looks of the 1722, specifically the Silver section above the keyboard.
Unless I can find an insane deal for the 1722 Id2 I will need to decide between these 2, do I go for looks, or do I go for the bigger screen.
Both are less than $300, and it seems that the supply of them are drying up.

I went for the 1651 ID2 because I can take it to and from class much easier. The supply for these are drying up so get it soon. I know ocon only has a few.

Yeah I just checked Ebay and theres almost no 1651s. I guess the looks of the 1722 isn't really that bad.
    Thanks for your responses.

P.S. I am not really worried about having to lug it around, I think most of the trips I will have with it is from my desk to my lazyboy.

I got a 1651, a friend of mine got a 1722. Both with red trim.

I'd take a 1651 over a 1722 if it meant aluminum over plastic.

Ok, thanks guys, I will go with the 1651, you all talked me into it, I am sure I won't regret the decision. hopefully the check I am expecting will arrive soon and I can find a good deal on the 1651.

Keep in mind if you want a Quad core cpu later, then your best off with the 1722 as it is my understanding that the 1651 does not support Quads.

Be sure to check out OConBudgets complete build MSI-1651s. For well under $700 complete with good parts and shipping included... See his listing in the NBR Marketplace.

I had heard the same thing.
yeah, I had seen some preconfigured Laptops for about the same price, thing is I cant afford that much all at one time, getting the bare-bones allows me to build it over time sense I couldn't save up enough without blowing it on something else.

My check had been delayed, for some reason it got sent back to the state, so its going to be at least another week or two. About the only model I see very frequently on e-bay is the 1722 ID1. I just hope there still around when I do get my money.
