    I am thinking of getting this laptop in the near future but i prefer the quad intel i7 720 over the i5 dual core. The question is, if I upgrade the cpu myself will it void the warranty on this thing. The 3 years warranty is one of the main selling points for me.

    talk to them. if they say something along the lines of the part only not being under warranty (which would make sense as msi doesn't supply the part) then you should be good to go. save any email communications you have.
