    VBIOS update on MSI GT72

    Hello guys.

    I have an old MSI GT72 2QE, upgraded to a MSI GTX 1070 MXM.

    For now, i use this VBIOS 86.04.5B.00.8A, with a TDP limit of 115w.

    In this forum, i saw this thread :

    This VBIOS version ( Alienware) 86.04.5B.40.3A has a TDP limit of 125w.

    Problem, my the device ID of my GPU is 10DE 1BE1, and the Alienware's VBIOS is 10DE 1BA1.

    So, the flash is possible or i risk to brick my GPU ?

    Don't flash it, if you have a 1BE1 and flash a 1BA1 you'll never be able to go backwards also if you have an MSI card why are you trying to flash a Alienware vbios to it, all GTX1070 cards are 115w vbioses.

    Also crossflashing will more then likely brick your card.

    1BA1 exist msi version ,,is new revision only
    but 1BE1 is different ,,A8 + oc still best or need programmer "tdp tweaker"
