Hi, so recently I've purchased the ms-1651/gx620, now luckily I have been handed a T9600, which I know for a fact is compatible with the MS-1651(which the CPU/HDD/RAM is upgradeable, and maybe even the GPU ;) )

Truth be told, I'm a newb. I've searched for guides and so far the most detailed recent guide was a youtube video.

So rather waste my time searching and risking damaging the notebook, I would like some straight up advise from the MS/gx620 owners themselves.

Is there a guide? How easy is it? Simply "remove this with screw, then that with screw then take out, then add, then put paste?"
    That's all I've learned.

That's pretty much all there is to it. Remove the screws that holds down the CPU and GPU heatsink, grab the cooling fan assembly/heatsink and lift it up and slightly at an angle.

    Awesomeness!

Thanks, is the gx620/1651 by any chance compatible with the new 25w 2.8 ghz chip set coming out december-ish?

I just realized the difference between my stock and new one is 25 vs 35watts, just a little worried about heat.

Again, thanks for the quick reply.

I don't think you have to worry about the heat. The older processors are 45W isn't it?

Yes, it will be compatible with the P9600. MSI may release a BIOS update to support the microcode for it, but chances they may have already done so with the recent BIOS update.
