Not that it voids any warranty.
It simply Cannot be done physically.

I guess they had so many problems with people upgrading their U100s .. tho they finally relented and honored warranty if you upgraded.
    But....

INSTEAD of solving the problem by making them ALL 2gb of mem on the U120 (and + $10) they made them all 1gb and Locked.

    Jerks.

i read the u120 ram cannot be upgraded. at all. as well

I dont know if the issue is there is 1 ram slot only and max per slot is 1 gig or if there is no slots and the memory is soldered on but either way the result is the same. stuck at 1 gb with no option of upgrade.

I don't think they're sellling either. Prices have dropped on the few sites that have them.

The First batch are not that different from the U100's.
Only the less power consuming processor.
    Same Mem.. same just b/g.
And worse, again,as you can't add to 1gb mem.
Even 8.9" Acer lets you go 1.5gb mem. (and EEE 10" 2gb)

The Second batch of U120 (020US) have b/g/N but so do batch 2 of the U100's.

The U115 will have SSDs of various size along with hard drive.

So the U120 is dead in the water with no real new feature.
Baffled why they came out with it with so little upgraded. Just basically a new look.

That's good. Hopefully this drives a clear message to MSI that removing the ability to upgrade RAM is not a good idea, and this feature is a pretty high factor in deciding on a netbook. Quite sad on how one of the netbook pioneers have fallen. I think my next netbook is going to be a Samsung.

U120 is a product for business users, and it has a 3G design that's why there's no space for a slot. You should be looking at U115 instead.
