I was planning on undervolting my laptop considering it gets quite hot. I saw the Throttlestop guide but I'm a bit afraid it might damage my laptop. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Are there any GE62VR owners out there that has un/successfully undervolted their laptops?
**Edit:** it's i7-7700HQ btw. If you guys need more specs, just let me know.

Hey mate,
Just bought a similar one to you, GE73MVR. We have the same processor though so pretty much exactly the same. Firstly Undervolting can in no way damage your laptop, only crash it if you go over your processor’s limit. Plenty of vids of this online. I used intel’s xtu as it’s pretty easy to use and managed to get it to -.120 before crashing. Not sure how useful this was as I’m still getting temps of up to 85degC when gaming intensively, I’m probably going to be looking at modding my coolermaster u3 to help with this so i’ll Be making a thread soon!
