What's your system profile when you undervolt your laptop(7700HQ)? I can undervolt my system up to -155, when it's on performance/game mode, no errors on prime95, and stable for hours. But it crashes as soon as I switch to battery/eco mode. Right now, it's steady at - 135 when in battery mode. The thing is, when I leave the laptop in performance mode, the undervolt numbers are great, but the fans are always running which kinda defeats the point.

It's because the eco is running a small undervolt on it, meaning you'd end up undervolting it even more. Let's say in performance mode you run at 0.9volts. When applying -155, it would run at 0.745 volts and when you run in eco mode, it would downclock itself to lets say 0.75 volts, then you'd suddenly run it at 0.6 volts, so as soon as it tries to turbo up, it would obviously crash. I suggest using throttlestop and then set custom voltages for each mode seperatively.

Thank you for the response! Is there a way to make throttlestop auto switch voltages as soon as I put the laptop in a different profile?

No, but you can do shortcuts. I have mine on ctrl + alt + b for battery mode and ctril + alt + g for gaming mode.

Honestly you can just use throttlestop rather than the performance center alltogether. As soon as you want to switch to battery use that tool instead.

If you are using Throttlestop try my settings that i use with my 7700hq.
set in Ttstop performance profile with this settings -156core and cache, -98 igpu and -48 for system agent and -48 for analog io
and also create baterry profile -128 core cache -72 igpu and -48 system agent and analog io
Please notice that for example HWmonitor will show you that you undervolt a bit more for example -156 in throttlestop is shown as -160 in Hwmonitor.
Now when you unplug your power cable there wont be and crash because throttlestop will changed your uv settings automaticaly.
If you will be unstable with my settings lower your undervolt as each cpu is different. But it you find your max stable settings for performance and battery profile you will be happy. but remember two profile with different UV is needed

In throttlestop 8.50 it is possible for throttlestop to switch profiles automaticaly. I think you need to activate in options Miscellaneous / AC - On, Battery - Off - This will cause ThrottleStop to go into monitoring mode when you switch from AC to Battery and to switch back to being Enabled when you plug back in. then just put your settings for each profile.

also create Windows task so throttlestop will always start with Windows. you need to find nie to do it on Google because i dont remember exactly nie to do it

    Read this Guide:
