    Hello community

I´m in deep trouble, i bought the GT72S, but because he comes with win10, and in the time i did not have a 20g Usb device to make the recovery image with MSI tool, i choosed my Acronis 2014, to do the job.

Now that win 8 is giving me problems, i want to go back to my previous system using the Acronis true image software, making a bootable Usb recovery drive.

The problem is that i can´t see my RAID drives, in order to copy the disk image created by acronis.

i tried to use the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Title IRST(F6 Install Floppy) drivers from MSI web, put it in another device, and try to use the "Universal Restore", but neither that option appears on Acronis, or it appears but when i select the RAID folder that i created with the above mentioned drives on it, no .inf file appears.

Is there a way to use Acronis Image, to restore my MSI to it´s default factory settings, with other program, or does someone have a solution for this.

Thank you very much in advance my friends

Acronis may or may not have driver support for the RAID controller because it is a Linux-based software, otherwise it would have been able to see the array already.
Have you tried MSI tech support yet? They may be able to provide the recovery discs.

Thank you my friend for your reply

i talk to MSI, but they only talk about MSI recovery tool, in a short story what happend was this http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/how-to-install-windows-8-on-a-gt72s.782846/ , now that i want to go back, because of the problems that windows 8 give me, i can´t see the RAID drives, so i can image them, with the Acronis Image created.

Isn't there any other software that supports this kind of images, and supports the RAID devices, so i can be able to see them?

    Thank you

MSI tech support should be able to provide you with factory recovery discs, but you may asked to pay for it.
Other than that, you can retrieve the WIM file from the Acronis backup then run scripts manually, and apply the WIM image after, and these are all manual work.

You should call again, because I know MSI USA can provide recovery discs to customers per their request (not a free service thou), so I have not seen them denying a customer on such request.

Imagex is a command-line based tool from Microsoft.
All manufacturers use this tool to create images as well as performing recovery.
I mentioned this to let you know there's such option, however, the procedures are very complex so it is only meant to be used by expert users.

    Process:
    1. You need to grab the diskpart scripts in order to format the drives correctly.
    2. Grab the WIM file, and use IMAGEX.EXE to restore it onto the RAID array.
    3. Perform bcdboot command to EFI partition to allow the drive to become bootable.
