    Two Things - Overclocking Ram & Modifying Power Limit?

    Are both even possible? Do I need to modify the profiles to change the XMP profile somehow? I have an unlocked BIOS and I get up the voltage and adjust timings but no where to change the clocks?

    In terms of the GPU power limit, is it possible or am I going to need a hardware programmer? And would something like that be extremely risky and easy to brick the laptop?

    Also what is the potential overclock for the stock RAM in this laptop?

    Hmmm, in my GT73, RAM speed does appear on the same menu area where you can change timings and command rate. I don't have it here as to check the menus further... You would need to test for stability but there are some limits depending on how much ram you have as well.

    As for GPU power limit, you will probably need to modify the vbios and possible some EC registers, not sure. I don't think it is "extremely risky" but yeah any flashing does have a change of bricking the GPU, particularly when the vbios mod is not well done, and using incorrect settings can also damage the PC when you allow more than what was originally designed to do. It's always a risk.

    To flash the bios will I need special hardware that'll make it far too much effort for myself to do it? Or is there a way to do it via Windows?

    I haven't flashed with pascal but for maxwell I used nvflash with the normal commands (I forgot which ones) but basically you ran nvflash in a bootable USB running DOS, and then executed the flash command to your GPU. Once it finished, you rebooted, and the GPU would be flashed.

    I believe you can also flash in windows, like how I did it for the GT80. You first disabled the GPU via device manager, and then executed the same nvflash commands in CMD, and when finished, you re-enabled the GPU in device manager.

    All of this, however, is how I did it with maxwell, I haven't flashed my GT73 at all, hopefully someone else can chime in about it. As for removing the TDP limit, perhaps you might need a vbios editor, but all of this is out of my league as is.
