    Turn off display on lid close

    My previous laptop (an HP Elitebook workstation), automatically turned off the display when I closed the lid.

    I have a GS40 6QE that "doesn't". It does turn the display off, but Windows does not actually consider it off (if you lift the lid a bit, it's off). My power options do not have this: http://i.imgur.com/X07UMIH.png

    Anyone knows any way for windows to automatically disable the laptop's monitor?

    I'm on Win 10 pro, latest updates.

    Have you tried 'Change settings that are currently unavailable'?

    That's removed in Win 10 unfortunately

    So the feature that what you wanted to enable no longer works?

    As you can see in this image: [​IMG]

    there is in some laptops that option. For some reason, on Win 10 for the GS40, this option doesn't exist.

    Have you actually clicked on the blue link in your screenshot, above Balanced [Active] that actually says: Change settings that are currently unavailable
