    I have a few questions:
1.) Can I run turbo boost on battery?

2.) Can I run turbo boost and "gaming mode" on the eco button both at the same time?

3.) Which has better effect on performance, turbo boost or "gaming mode"?

4.) Does gaming mode have the same settings as high performance?

Thank you in advance for anyone who would answer the questions.

I can answer one of your questions and that's question 1 and no you can't run turbo mode aka P1 on battery power.

Unfortunatly can't answer the rest of your question as really not played with the star bar seen no point

Thank you for replying James. P1? Isn't it it's not the same with the turbo button? Because there's a P1 button and I think that's for activating cinema pro and the turbo button, well, it's for boosting the performance I think.

No problem about the other questions, I appreciate your answer though.

turbo boost changes GPU clocks therefore will have a larger impact.

for the 780dxr model the p1 is actually the turbo. for us, 683 model, we have separate p1 and turbo buttoms.

    ur questions:

    1. no, u cant activate turbo on battery, BUT there is a tool which allows u to change the clocks of the batttery, therefore allowing u to play on baterry only. i don not recommend this since the video card pulls out to much power on gaming that the battery itself may not provide causing damage to itself. that why u cant put turbo on battery because of a defense mechanism.

    2. in my opinion gaming mode on the eco function is useless. its exactly the same as normal mode.

    3. the performance is the same

we own 2 very different laptops as you can see. the OP has a gt683r that is more similar to my laptop, in fact almost the same, and therefore that why i say that this ecomode in gaming is useless.
