I've only had my custom GT628 for two months and now the touch pad is losing its matte surface and its becoming glossy. It looks like it is grease, but I've cleaned it was my screen cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth to no avail. Is there any way to restore its matte texture?

Nope, its definately glossy (i love it quite frankly and the touchpad doesnt loose responsiveness either :) )

But im not to sure about the matt restoration but if you find a way of restoring do tell :) i have noticed a while back several members did say about this issue.

I have a heap of touchpad protectors for the 1722 chasis I was selling a while back. I'm not sure what other MSIs have the same touchpad size as the 1722.

You could use a touchpad protector or even cut your own. I personally like the feel of the worn touchpad more.
