Presenting you my "almost" finished project
Tornado F5 + Zotac 1080 + Water-cooling
I have the Terrans Force bios by dsanke
EC: 16L1ED61.113
BIOS1: MSI vBios (86.04.2B.00.1B) 200W seems to work and installs drivers without inf modification, even G-Sync works. It changed the device code from 1BA0 to 1BE0. I think this one is modified.
However it artifacts even in windows under moderate load. The colors become distorted as well. It recovers after a few seconds I suppose when it drops the voltages or loads. Probably the power stages are the problem. Tested the Prema mod BIOS ... same issues.
BIOS2: The Zotac bios (86.04.3D.00.0D) modded 185/215W installs latest drivers 461.40...
by modifying the .inf file and disabling signature check following this guide: https://null-src.com/posts/nvidia-notebook-driver-inf-mod/post.php
However this vBios does not work with internal monitor and the GPU is not fully recognized.
Firestrike online results show the GPU as Unknown VGA, desktop version recognizes it.
The setup even mines Ethereum happily and silently as I sleep in the room (check screenshot). CPU is at stock settings.
For the water cooling I used the copper 3 heatpipe set for MSI 1070 (From taobao).
Had to modify it to fit the Zotac 1080. Took me a long time to dremel it.
The card fits firmly right above the Wi-fi, I don't think it bends or is under very high pressure over the wi-fi and under the heatsink.

You could try to use your internal monitor with edp or lvds controller board, depends on your screen model
purchase hdmi ribbon or tube cable, desolder the hdmi port on the control board, solder hdmi pins from the motherboard to the ribbon cable and to the control board hdmi, provide 12A to the control board from the 12A power rail from the motherboard to the controller board tuck all of that stuff nicely behind the panel and cables and you have a remote control working screen that takes signal from laptop hdmi directly to the laptop lcd and you control the brightness and stuff via a remote control, but that project will require time. -

Do you have error in OCCT GPU memtest using MSI vbios ?

I also suspect some issue whether with voltage at different power stages or with memory. But it is interesting that I have completed a Firestrike run once without any issues. -
Zotac card locked to stock VBIOS version with other show me Error 43. Only good works with optimus.
