Was one of the lucky ones to recieve a windows launch party. Came with two disks 32 and 64 bit. The activation code was the same for both versions. Try calling MS and see if they will give you an upgrade. From my experience if you ask they often will give you what you want.

The key works on both. Just find a torrent somewhere for the 64 bit version of your Windows 7, and it will activate fine.

(I think this is alright because in essence, you're just buying the key from them, not the actual install disk)

So has anyone received and done their free upgrade? I got mine in earlier this week and planned to upgrade this weekend but after reading a page of problems some people are having on the MS site, it's scaring me. I don't want to completely disable my computer just for the sake of having a newer OS.

So I'm hoping to hear if anyone else with MSI has done it successfully. I have a GT627, by the way. Just got it in July so I don't have a ton of stuff on it but I have enough that I'd hate for it to be wiped clean with a fresh install.

Been running W7 for over a year now. Installed the release disk back around the begining of Oct no problems. MSI has all drivers ready for W7. Been running 64 bit with no compatability problems. I would have loved if vista or XP could have been this smooth when they launched.
