Hey guys I just bought a set of the sennheiser PC360 headphones to use when gaming and I'm wanting to get the emulated 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound.

I know that sennheiser make the 363D's which are essentially the 360's with a little USB hub to emulate the 3D sound and I know that there are devices out there like the Astro Mix Amp but I'm wondering if the software for these laptops supports 3D emulation natively? Or if I HAVE to buy one of these little hubs to get it working?

Unless you can get the proprietary software installed then yeah there is not much choice, but it's not really that effective unless it's true surround anyway.
