Anyone else have this issue? Whenever I use any pair of headphones or earbuds, the quality is very, very quiet and terrible. I've updated the official drivers many times and I've gone into the control panel/sound tab too and there are no options there, but when I plug in the headphones my computer says "You have plugged in an audio device" or whatever.

I think I had the same thing happen to me, the sound was quiet, distorted and sounded "far away." I opened the Realtek HD Audio Manager under hidden icons on the task bar and changed the speaker configuration to Stereo, that solved the problem for me, hopefully it will solve yours as well.
