I have the GX640, and there is this strange sound issue that I cannot quite figure out.
Sound does not get played in the 1st couple of seconds if sound has not already been "on".
Like email alerts are never heard because they are a short "ding" sound.
but if another arives like a couple of seconds I will hear it.
This happens in all applications...Internet Explorer, Skype, Media Player whatever.
Like the sound driver needs to warm up or something.
HELP!
Did install CCC 10.5

It's a realtek "feature"
right click on the realtek thing in the notifications area -> sound manager -> bottom right of that screen has a button to go to switching the feature on/off -
I don't see that. I have the same "feature." The bottom right of my sound manager windows only has a "Power Management" button and an "Information" button.
EDIT: Found it. It IS the power management thing. I jus tput mine to 30 second son battery only. -
+1 rep NotEnoughMinerals!!! It was driving me nuts.
