    Hi, everyone. I'm planning to buy a MSI GT70 online, and I notice there is an option to upgrade the soundcard on the GT70...

    ==Sound Blaster Compatible 3D Audio - Included
    ==Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro THX 24-bit External USB Sound Card ( + 99 )
    ==Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Wireless Sound Card System (Broadcast Xtreme Fidelity Audio from PC to other audio devices wirelessly) ( + 129 )

    Is it worth it up grade? Or is the GT70's default ... soundcard(?) already pretty awesome?

    I'm a total novice in the soundcard area... so I really need some help deciding... Many thanks in advance!

    The soundcard on the GT70 is not upgradable, it is fixed internal. Those are external upgrades, not necessary unless you are looking for a specific feature that the stock one does not offer. The stock sound is powerful and should suite most users.

    If you do want to get an upgrade for the sound, look at the Fiio USB DAC's+Amp. There are other bigger sized DAC+Amps as well. (Provided you have the headphones to go along with them.)
