You should fix that missing key first...

Ohhhh, you suck Geno, LOL! Where is mine? And yes, what happened to the CTRL key? Were you in too big of a hurry unbox'in that bad-boy?
-
Repack it up and ship it to me. That's the first thing you should do.
-
its going to stay with me at my house for a while

As Dave from the EEVBlog would say:
"Don't turn it on! Take it apart!"triturbo likes this. -
As much as I want to do precisely this ^, I always turn it on just to see if everything is working fine, then I take it apart
It seems that you have turned it on already, Geno, so now to begin to the taking-it-apart part
-
I will PM you my CONUS address for Thanksgiving and Black Friday!

I do realize that the keyboard is the selling point (as well as the twin 980ms), but those that care what kind of keyboard it has, also care about what kind of internals and cooling you've packed in. So again - show us
Also nice to see standard optical port, I think it's the first one (at least in recent years) to feature such thing.
-
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
You can see a dedicated optical audio out port there too.

)...... sadly, as long as there is a hush-hush order, Geno will not be able to expose all the things we are dying to know. BUT, we will know soon enough!

I was trying to refrain from posting here because I knew it would be a trap to lure me into demanding a GT80 right now!
Looking good.... Geno! Reveal more! -
-=$tR|k3r=- Notebook Virtuoso
No, no, no ryzeki..... you'll have to wait till I get mine first!
(Geno is such a phreak'in tease.....)
Hey Geno! Since Sam Chem already told us the GT80 will have the Extreme i7, how about dazzling us with a screenie of CPU-Z?
triturbo likes this. -
Nice, if this has replaceable graphics cards it may well be my next laptop.
-
Need more info Geno.
Take a picture of the inside of this thing. Want to see the cooling system with heatsinks and CPUs and stuff -
You have my attention and ready to be schooled.
-
That's a laptop with a full sized mechanical keyboard!?

Extreme edition core i7 and sli 980m. Come on Geno, There is a limit to how many times one can press F5 without breaking a keyboard
-
-=$tR|k3r=- Notebook Virtuoso
No, No, Nooooo, my friend! We'll see about that! It's ON, it's on like Pong to Donkey Kong, everything in between, and everything that followed! You got nothing on this Black Friday ninja operator. You are going to have to wait your turn in line (behind me), and wait your turn like everyone else! LOL!
-
It's a laptop keyboard ??? Why so bog bottom ? Which kid laptop is that ?
-
-=$tR|k3r=- Notebook Virtuoso
Ummmm, yeah OK..... for you the egg on face is a good look.
-
-
I can see why the mech keyboard is designed to be like that at the end of the keyboard area -
I hope a palmrest is included in the box for it. Can't use a mechanical without one.
-
i will slowly release new pics in the weeks to come
and by slow, i mean painstakingly slow...just to torture ryzeki-=$tR|k3r=- and Kevin@GenTechPC like this. -

Ah ha, we shall see about that Ryzeki! You do realize that Ken always has my purchase information on file. All I have to do is give my authorization, and essentially I am pre-ordered, before preorders have begun...... and as such, this guarantees me a unit and a 1st place in line for shipping, as the first shipment arrives from MSI. Also, I will be paying for priority overnight delivery, so don't feel bad if yours arrives after mine. I will not hold it against you, LOL!

hmmmm.... Striker is a formidable rival when it comes to purchasing MSI machines. This might be the biggest challenge I have ever faced.Kevin@GenTechPC likes this. -
I have a feeling striker will pay all the premium aaaand he'll get it second, not to ryzeki tho
-

Yes those who are working on site and pay get it that very moment they come in lol.

And here I am with my Chiclet keyboard on my GE40.
Can't wait for the benchmarks on this big puppy! -
Can any more information be posted on this beautiful piece of hardware?
-
No new info that i can share, but here is a closeup picture of the beautiful box it comes in

I really like that name and font. Something about titan that seems powerful.
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Well it helps when nvidia have a very powerful card of a similar name
This in sli will be faster than one of them too. -
What's next the included micro fiber cloth... We want something a bit more juicer.
Can we at least get the exact dimensions so we can see how big a laptop we are dealing with. -

Not much can be said due to NDA though.. Anyhow, let's look forward to CES 2015! -
I presume everyone else is sleeping. NOT ME! I want it, I want it now.
I was almost ready to give in and order the Sager. Thanks, due to this vid, my patience is extended beyond Christmas, but how long does MSI think we can wait? A lot of Christmas money will be spent before the GT80 is released. Sales will be hurt, so why?
Anyway, I wonder if you naysayers are satisfied with a relatively official reasoning for the keyboard layout. Incredibly sensible! Keep the hotstuff away from your hands! Duh!
Btw, broken limp wristed is the most inaccurate and slow manner of typing. Ask Mavis Beacon .
Finally, is this thing gonna break US$5K?! If so, it better be wholly upgradeable, and with a next gen mb bus, accommodating next gen cpu and memory. Anything above 4K has to last an entire generation plus. Three years of top line performance (with upgrades). I shouldn't need to envy anyone for 2 plus years!
Other than that, I sure would love a plain box ala Sager. This is for rich kids, adults who can afford their gaming addiction, as well as, like myself, the tech addicted!

Did you see that brick?! Probably weighs more than some notebooks by itself. Lol.Kevin@GenTechPC likes this. -

Meh, get to the back of the line..... you'll get yours, after I get mine.

We're did you get It ?

Also, does the lack of a wrist-wrest making typing annoying or is it pretty much smooth? -
Also, for the most part, if you type on a normal keyboard with a wrist rest, you will probably want to use one anyways. We have thought about this though, so stay tuned -
