As Dave from the EEVBlog would say:

As much as I want to do precisely this ^, I always turn it on just to see if everything is working fine, then I take it apart :) It seems that you have turned it on already, Geno, so now to begin to the taking-it-apart part :p

I do realize that the keyboard is the selling point (as well as the twin 980ms), but those that care what kind of keyboard it has, also care about what kind of internals and cooling you've packed in. So again - show us :D Also nice to see standard optical port, I think it's the first one (at least in recent years) to feature such thing.

Geno is just teasing us..... (you suck Geno, LOL! :D)...... sadly, as long as there is a hush-hush order, Geno will not be able to expose all the things we are dying to know. BUT, we will know soon enough!

Ah ha, we shall see about that Ryzeki! You do realize that Ken always has my purchase information on file. All I have to do is give my authorization, and essentially I am pre-ordered, before preorders have begun...... and as such, this guarantees me a unit and a 1st place in line for shipping, as the first shipment arrives from MSI. Also, I will be paying for priority overnight delivery, so don't feel bad if yours arrives after mine. I will not hold it against you, LOL!

While I do love the box design come on Geno you can do better than that!
What's next the included micro fiber cloth ;)... We want something a bit more juicer.
Can we at least get the exact dimensions so we can see how big a laptop we are dealing with.

I presume everyone else is sleeping. NOT ME! I want it, I want it now.

I was almost ready to give in and order the Sager. Thanks, due to this vid, my patience is extended beyond Christmas, but how long does MSI think we can wait? A lot of Christmas money will be spent before the GT80 is released. Sales will be hurt, so why?

Anyway, I wonder if you naysayers are satisfied with a relatively official reasoning for the keyboard layout. Incredibly sensible! Keep the hotstuff away from your hands! Duh!

Btw, broken limp wristed is the most inaccurate and slow manner of typing. Ask Mavis Beacon….

Finally, is this thing gonna break US$5K?! If so, it better be wholly upgradeable, and with a next gen mb bus, accommodating next gen cpu and memory. Anything above 4K has to last an entire generation plus. Three years of top line performance (with upgrades). I shouldn't need to envy anyone for 2 plus years!

Other than that, I sure would love a plain box ala Sager. This is for rich kids, adults who can afford their gaming addiction, as well as, like myself, the tech addicted!

GT80 Titan, a true, point to point/desk to desk—"Desktop Replacement"!

Did you see that brick?! Probably weighs more than some notebooks by itself. Lol.

Could you at least give us some sort of time frame? Even if it's just a guess?

Also, does the lack of a wrist-wrest making typing annoying or is it pretty much smooth?

    soon™ :)

Also, for the most part, if you type on a normal keyboard with a wrist rest, you will probably want to use one anyways. We have thought about this though, so stay tuned :D

I imagine it would be like typing on a desktop keyboard. You could get a wrist rest for more comfort.

I am quite happy MSI did listen to a lot of feedback for this monster machine. It seems they are doing everything right. I don't doubt that the GT80 will be compatible with external wrist rest, or even come with one! heh.

Couple more weeks and we will know more at CES! :D
