I have purchased the 1761 barebone and I can't seem to set up RAID 0 in the BIOS. There aren't any options for it. My BIOS is version E1761IG6 (v3.06). Is there any place to get an update? I just want RAID 0 to work.

My second question is in regard to the RAM. I bought 8GB (2x4GB) ADATA 1600MHz RAM and it is running it at 666MHz and not 800MHz. It does support Intel XMP. Yes, I know that it defaults to 1333 so ensure it will be supported, but how do I use it at its rated frequency of 1600? Also, I do have an i7-2760QM (ES) which does support 1600MHz RAM.

If you have any questions about how my computer is configured, look here.

I think there is a different BIOS entirely for RAID support.

You might want to ask in the owners lounge.

Are you getting into the RAID configuration menu correctly. You dont do it in BIOS, you hold down ctrl and push I during boot up. You do that the same time you would be trying to get to the BIOS.

Your RAM speed should be able to be adjusted in the BIOS. You can usually set it manually to 1600mhz.

Thanks. I'll try to do the RAID set up that way, cuz I might be doing it wrong. But unless there is a new version of the BIOS I don't have that does support 1600MHz, it's not an option.

Yes, you can enter the RAID config and yes, you can create a RAID set..... BUT given the 3 drives you described in the GT780 thread, I am not sure this would be practical, efficient, or worthwhile. Personally, I would rethink this direction, especially given the drives you have.

With regard to 1600mhz DDR3, please see my post HERE. I would very much like to see the thoughts of Hutsady@XoticPC, and other reseller professionals on this.
