I originally bought my GT70 somewhere around 2013 for the price of 1444USD and to my surprise, I checked the prices of nowadays' current generation gaming notebooks and found out that the GE72 is only 899$ on amazon.

    My GT70's current specs are:

    i7 3610 2.3Ghz 4 cores, 8 threads.
    12Gb of ram
    Nvidia gtx 675m 2Gb
    17.3"

GE72 Specs from available amazon config:
    2.6 GHz Core i7-4720HQ
    12 GB DDR3L SDRAM
    NVIDIA Geforce GTX960M 2 Gb
    17.3"

Since the specs are a little similar in terms of performance, what are the key differences that makes the GE72 stand out from the GT70? How is the cooling system compared to the GT70? Are there any problems that I might run into or any features that the GT70 has but is unavailable on the GE72?

Since I might be able to sell my current notebook for a price that can afford it, I'm thinking of upgrading; I would appreciate if someone were to state some advantages and disadvantages of moving to the GE72. Thank you.
