I ran SpeedFan, and shockingly my hard drive fitness is only 94%. Which scares me, this laptop is brand spanking new. However after looking at what its from its the spin retry count. Which is actually your hard drives spin speed. Perhaps its only 94% because this laptops hard drive is a 5400 RPM HD.

I just wanna confirm, that this is not actually wear and tear because its pretty much brand new.

No, my laptop came with no OS. Just the vista x64 cd, I installed it myself.

I looked into this and many new hard drives only have a spin count of 100+. Mines 103.

I looked into it, and it seems like its not a problem. Its just the hard drive speed, however if you start to see it decrease in short periods of time, then you may have a problem.

Ill keep an eye on it, but I don't think it will change.
