I think most of the newer laptops come with a "strip" down the right side of the touchpad, that, when you slide your fingers down or up it, acts like the scroll wheel of a mouse. I'm not quite sure what's it called, so if you know, let me know ;).

My MS-1022 has one, but its not labeled on the touchpad, and its a little bit off the right edge so its a bit difficult to hit the "sweet spot" that makes it scroll. Does anyone know if MSI or another company has a software for customising it? I remember my Ferrari 3000 came with a utility that allowed you to customize the width and options of the scroll script.

My MS-1058 is the same way and I found that installing the driver for the S271 gave me that option. The S271 and MS-1058 are essentially the same notebook.

The 1058 driver is from a company called "ElanTech". I don't know if it's the same for the 1022. But it was the software I added which gives me the option you are looking for.

Cool, what's the name of the software? Hopefully it'll work for my 1022 aswell.

EDIT: I tried the one for the M521...apparently, they're not compatible and my touchpad stopped working, making me plug in a usb mouse to rescue it :p. Ah well, I'll keep trying different software :p
