I have being dreaming on owning a good computer for like over a year going for two. Never had the money to get one, finally a have the option. I am deciding over either MSI MS-16F2 or MSI MS-1761. My budget is literally 1,550.00 and can't go over that.

I am deciding the 15" one because of the option that you can get the 95% Gamut screen while the 17" only has the default one (since i am not planning on getting the glossy and i can't because of the $$$$!) but has the Steelseries Backlit Keyboard that would look so sick to everywhere I go.

I know that the screen is important and of course I want a good laptop but if the 95% gamut screen is not that different from the 17" one (which I doubt) the big one will be a better choice.

    Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen the standard screen, but I do have the 95% screen and it's pretty amazing.

Thanks for the reply bro, and your experience with your laptop... For the looks of it I am planning on buying the 17" since it has the option for the backlit keyboard. Even though I am ignoring that inner deep voice of my heart to go with the one you have!

I went through the same choice as you. I would've loved to have the keyboard, but for me the screen is more important than the typing experience (TBH this keyboard isn't terrible, just flexes a little), and with the brightness of the screen the keyboard isn't hard to see. :)

I would like one day to feel the difference between the standard keyboard and the steelseries, though.

You can compensate for flex by adding thin foam buffers between the keyboard and casing.

Yeah I'm definitely going to do that one day when I get bored at work. Looks like it'll take all of 5 minutes.

I went for the 17" laptop since it was cheaper with all I wanted than the other one upgrading it with the 95% gamut screen. i will definitely gonna do the thin foam thing if the keyboard is like that. Now for the worst part, to wait! Thanks to all of you!
